Eric P. Grimes
Strategic Partner
Eric Grimes has over 15 years of experience working with local, regional, and
state governments and non-profit organizations. He is the President and CEO of
The Grimes Group, a development and consulting firm which provides services for
appropriations specializing in the environment, energy, health and wellness,
parks and recreation, the arts, and youth programs. His current client base is
concentrated in Pennsylvania, but he has extensive experience working with
non-profit groups in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and New York.
While securing funding for his clients, Mr. Grimes has worked with the U.S.
Department of Justice, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of
Education, and Department of Energy. In his current position, he has substantive
contacts with Members of Congress and their staff, the Executive Branch, state
and local elected officials, and federal, state, and local agencies. In the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, he has worked with the Department of Environmental
Protection, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Department of
Education, Department of Energy, and Department of Community and Economic
Development. He helped create a Multi-Municipal Recreation Plan, a
Rails-to-Trails Plan, and a Comprehensive Recreation, Park, Open Space and
Greenway Plan for his clients.
Previously, Mr. Grimes worked for the U.S. Department of the Interior and held
executive positions in the environmental and health and wellness fields,
concentrating on youth and educational programs. While in these positions, he
was responsible for marketing, accounting, program development, staff
management, and risk management.
Mr. Grimes received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation and Parks
Management from The Pennsylvania State University in State College and is
currently a member of the College of Health and Human Development Alumni Board
of Directors at the University. He and his family reside in Lewisburg,
Pennsylvania.
