Michael Frohlich
Strategic Partner

Mr. Frohlich brings over eight years of political, legislative and communications experience to Madison Government Affairs. His primary experience has been in both traditional and new media, to serving as a consultant, spokesperson, and director of communications and media relations. Michel started his professional career working for the Committee on House Administration, where he developed close ties with Congressional offices working on the Commission on Congressional Mailing Standards.

Following his time at the Committee, Michael left to work for iConstituent, LLC a software based consulting firm, where he managed over 40 Congressional clients. He served as the primary point of contact for client management and assisted in messaging and e-communications strategy. Additionally, Michael supported the sales team, using his contacts on Capitol Hill to substantially increase iConstituent’s client base.

Following his time at iConstituent, LLC, Michael became the Press Secretary for Congresswoman Virginia Foxx (R-NC), where he developed the communications strategy. Frohlich then went on to become Communications Director for Congressman Randy Neugebauer (R-TX) where he took on the task of increasing the Congressman’s national profile, as well as work in-depth on energy issues, as the office’s staff liaison to then Majority Whip Blunt’s House Energy Action Team.

Upon leaving the public sector, Michael went to work for the National Biodiesel Board as their Director of Federal Communications for over two years, after which he joined the National Association of Manufacturers as the Director of Media Relations.

Michael’s background involves representing the interests of utilities, legislators, professional associations, manufacturers, and corporations. He enhanced his clients’ brand, image, and reputation among public policymakers, constituents, journalists, memberships, legislators, business leaders, and the general public.

In legislative affairs, Michael achieved successes in influencing decisions of members of both chambers of Congress before major votes. As a media relations manager, Michael also increased earned media opportunities, favorable press, and extended coverage in radio, TV, print, and online social media for both members of Congress and private sector groups.

Michael joined Madison Government Affairs as a strategic partner in August of 2011. He is a native of Rochester, NY and graduated from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania with a degree in Political Science.
