Jack M. Hession
Vice-President
Mr. Hession brings to MGA a wealth of experience and in-depth familiarity with the Federal appropriations and legislative process. He works extensively with Members of Congress and staff from both the Senate and House Leadership as well as Senate and House Appropriations Committees.
Prior to joining Madison Government Affairs, Mr. Hession served as Legislative Assistant to Representative Tom Davis of Virginia. As Congressman Davis' lead staffer on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, Mr. Hession managed the Congressman's legislative agenda pertaining to energy, the environment and interstate matters. He implemented legislative strategies concerning renewable energy, election reform, and U.S. energy policy.
While at MGA, Mr. Hession has specialized on energy issues and hydrogen related clients as well as a successful approach to economic development for community-focused clients. Mr. Hession has worked with clients in many different industries on a broad scope of funding and policy issues related to appropriations, economic development, technology, transportation, alternative-energy, defense, national security and education. His exhaustive work has resulted in the implementation of numerous legislative initiatives and has secured millions of dollars to address congressional priorities.
Mr. Hession’s hands-on experience in the legislative process is complemented by his extensive formal education in the field of public policy analysis and public administration. Jack is a graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
