Sarah Hanson
Legislative Assistant
Sarah Hanson is the newest member of the Madison Government Affairs team. Prior to working for MGA, Ms. Hanson attended the University of Florida where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s in Political Science. While in school, she specialized in international relations, and received extensive instruction in public opinion, legislative affairs, and legal matters. She also served as an active member of Pi Sigma Alpha – a national collegiate Political Science Honor Society.
While being employed at MGA, Ms. Hanson has worked on a wide variety of tasks. She is responsible for an extensive amount of legislative research, specifically relating to Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC), military base statistics and history, and the congressional and political environment. She is also responsible for ensuring all House and Senate legislative reporting is done in a timely and succinct manner. In addition, Ms. Hanson monitors and acquires for the MGA office the major authorization and appropriations bills coming out of the Congress. She also monitors congressional and political publications for relevant issues to our firm and clients, and places them on our company’s website to ensure public availability and access.
Ms. Hanson looks forward to continuing her education of congressional and political matters through both her employment with Madison Government Affairs and returning to school in the near future to receive her Master’s degree.
